I get really excited about stuff like this. I'm teaching one class of PE for my alternative high school students and we talk about diet, personal activity, etc...

I think that we all need to eat more growing things. I heard a lecture at Cal-Poly from a nationally known dietitian. He was upset that the FDA removed all standards for supplements in the early 1990s. He said something I will never forget- People spend all this time and money buying bottles of anti-oxidants, when there are probably hundreds of anti-oxidants in an apple. Probably hundreds of them that scientists haven't even identified yet.

Anyway, I love your stuff, keep it up!

Thanks Bliss. Until I started doing the research for this article, I wasn't aware of the many benefits of dates myself. So, I'm certainly glad to hear this article proved to be beneficial to you.

Your feedback is most appreciated!

This is a great article about a food that I have always liked but never knew it was so good for me. I didn't realize the protein and fiber content was that high. This is important to me as I have a family history of Colon Cancer. Excellent article that helped give me some great ideas on how to incorporate this into my diet. Off to the store to get some dates.

Thanks Philip for contributing your comment to our blog. And I think you're are right about us being programed to consider the smell of garlic as a negative.

Maybe if local restaurants started featuring a "Garlic Lover's Night" in their advertising people would become more open to eating this healthy food. We do have a restaurant in our area called "Wild Garlic", and it's very popular.

Thanks Brandon.

Wow, garlic infused baths! I don't know that I'd go that far, but I sure like to eat it. The healthy benefits are an added bonus.

I knew a woman who used to take garlic infused baths or so she claimed.

I don't know if there is any relation but this person was 31 at the time and looked 19, and never got ill.

I eat a fair amount of garlic being a pasta addict, and I get sick very rarely.
